DESCRIPTION:It’s important for Christians to have regular community together to help fight off the many temptations that our culture is throwing at us throughout the week. To this end\, Midweek at Buck Run provides a variety of opportunities for spiritual growth and relationships. Opportunities are offered for kids\, students\, and adults throughout the year at 6:30 pm. \n\nPrayer with Dr. Chris Parrish\nPrayer is possibly the most overlooked aspect of Christian discipleship. We know we should pray but often we fail to give much time or attention to our prayers. Join us as we examine what the Bible teaches us about prayer and how we can grow in our prayer life. \nThe Connection Junction with Dr. Wesley Noss\nDuring this class\, we will learn from one of the great relationship experts of all time: the Apostle Paul. In his one-page letter to Philemon\, we see the connection to relationships\, how to grow them\, how to restore them and how to thrive in them. We only have three relationships in life: the upward relationship with the Lord\, the inward relationship with ourselves\, and the outward relationship with each other. Learn from Paul that it’s finding our worth in Jesus that makes all the difference. \nMom to Mom with Kari Vanhoose\nMom to mom is a class to facilitate the mentoring of moms who are in the trenches of parenting meet and discuss relevant topics with Titus 2 moms. Utilizing a biblically based curriculum designed to equip\, encourage\, and energize moms in the most important job in all the world—raising children. The material grows out of the promise that as we “grow” our children\, God is growing us. Join each Wednesday for a short video followed by discussion and relationship building in order to spur families along in their endeavor to raise kingdom-focused children. An option to purchase the class resource will be made available during the first session. \nWorship Choir with Adrian Mathenia\nThe Worship Choir regularly leads the congregation in worship and participates in special services. Join this joyful group of people each week as they rehearse musical pieces for singers of all experience levels.
