That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we will be offering free six-week courses through foundational guitar and vocal development. The courses are taught through Worship the King\, an online worship ministry resource.\n \nThe guitar course is a great option for all foundational skill levels. If you’ve just picked up a guitar for the first time\, or want to dust it off and reignite your passion for playing\, this will be a helpful six weeks for you. \n\nThe vocal course is ideal for anyone who is considering joining the praise team\, singing in choir\, or just wants to develop as a singer. We will cover vocal health\, warm-ups\, finding your range\, and more. \nBoth courses include a Bible study time and worship theology discussions. SUMMARY:Disciple Now
DESCRIPTION:What is DNOW?  \nDNOW stands for Disciple Now. It is an annual weekend where all of our students (6th-12th graders) spend the weekend in small groups and host homes for the purpose of spiritual growth\, discipleship\, and fellowship. Students arrive at the church on Friday evening. They have dinner and worship before heading to a host home. All students are grouped with others of the same gender and similar ages (i.e. a sixth-grader won’t be with a high schooler). The group will spend Friday and Saturday nights in a host home. The host homes are families from our church that we know well and have been background checked. The students will eat some meals\, have small group bible studies\, do their quiet times\, and have lots of fun in the home. Each group is led by a college student that we know\, trust\, and have been background checked. The college student leads the group in their bible studies and any other activity that the group does. The group spends the whole weekend together.  \nThroughout the course of the weekend\, we will have multiple worship services at the church. This year our focus in worship and in our Bible studies will be hungering for Christ and not the things of the world.  \nEach group will also have some free time in their homes to have fun together. Disciple Now is a key weekend in the life of the Student Ministry. It is intended to pull the students away for a couple of days and create an atmosphere where they can spend an extra amount of time reading\, studying\, and hearing messages from the Bible. It also helps to create and strengthen relationships amongst our Student Ministry family.  \nDate: February 14-16 \nCost: $45 if your child is signed up by February 2. This includes all meals\, transportation\, and a t-shirt. The cost goes up to $55 after the 2nd and there is no shirt included.  \nRegister: Online registration is available at buckrun.org/register. Paper registration forms will also be available in the Student Room and in the church lobby if you prefer to pay via check or cash.  \nA list of what to bring and guidelines for the weekend will be emailed to you after your student is registered. Students are strongly encouraged to invite their non-Buck Run friends to join us for this weekend!  \nI hope that you will make it a priority to sign your son or daughter up for Disciple Now 2020!
