SUMMARY:Equipping Women
DESCRIPTION:Equipping Women on May 18 is an intentional time of training and fellowship for the women of Central Kentucky.  Find practical help and encouragement through breakouts and panels designed to help you grow in Christ\, in the home\, and in making disciples of others. This event is $15 and includes lunch. Below you will find the event’s schedule\, breakout sessions\, and speakers. Click the registration button to register and choose your breakout sessions.  \nRegister Today \nSchedule\n8:30 Registration\n9:00 Breakout Session 1\n10:00 Breakout Session 2\n11:00 Breakout Session 3\n11:45 Lunch\n12:45 Closing Session \nBreakouts\nSession 1\nDating Your Spouse | Lee Ann Hockensmith BREAKOUT IS FULL\nMarriage is a gift but too often we grow lazy as we grow older together. How can you be intentional in dating your spouse in the many seasons and stages of marriage? What wisdom does the Bible offer us in pursuing joy together for a lifetime? Join us as we creatively consider how to date and enjoy our spouse. \nNever Alone | A Panel on Singleness\nIn some seasons of life\, we feel lonely and forgotten but God’s Word tells us that He never leaves us.  The Bible calls ALL of us to serve and glorify Him. What does that look like in different seasons of singleness?  This panel discussion will focus on the challenges and joys of walking these different seasons well. \nCoffee Shop Discipleship | Hannah Parrish\nJesus commands us to make disciples but what does that really look like? This breakout will focus on close\, one on one discipleship and how to practically make it happen. \nFinding Hope in Suffering | Billee Butcher\nHow can you hold tight to the hope of the Gospel in the midst of the loss and pain of miscarriage and infertility? What if the desires of your heart are always out of reach? What does the Bible have to say to us in these seasons of hurt? Join us as we study how the Lord works through our suffering and pain. \nSession 2\nFinishing Life with Joy | Kathy Casey\nChrist will see us through until the end\, but how will we make it? Join us as we focus in on running the race of the Christian life with joy. \nBecoming a Woman of Influence | Jeannece Luhrs BREAKOUT IS FULL\nEveryone has influence. The question is: how are you using yours? God calls us each to use what He has gifted us with to advance the kingdom. This session will discuss how we can make the most of what God has given us. \nFull Hands\, Grateful Hearts | A Panel for Working Moms\nPacking lunches. Carpool lines. Staff meetings. Work trips. Figuring out dinner. How can I possibly do it all? What does it look like to rest our hearts in the Lord when our schedules are bulging at the seams? How do we intentionally shepherd our children’s hearts with so many other demands on our time? Join us for a panel discussion on how to walk well in the Lord while working outside the home. \nBudgeting & Meal Planning | Emily Benton\nEverything we have is a gift. God calls us to be good stewards of what He gives to each of us. How can you be a better steward of your resources in the area of budgeting and meal planning? \nSession 3\nGrace Filled Grand-Parenting | Tanya and Candace York\nFaith-filled heritage is a precious opportunity and responsibility. Join us as we seek to use generational influence without interfering with God’s ordained order as Paul writes in 2 Timothy 1:5: “I am reminded of your sincere faith\, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and\, I am persuaded\, now lives in you also.” \nWorship in the Home | Don and Cheri Farley\nWorship is central to the life of the Christian and this should be especially true in our homes. How can we shepherd our families to better love and worship the Savior together? \nStudying the Epistles | Chris Parrish\nThe Bible is made up of many different genres of literature\, each with its unique features. What do we need to know in order to be better interpreters of the letters in the New Testament? What tools do we need to be better students of the Word? \nIncreasing Your Intake of God’s Word | Lacey Morvay BREAKOUT IS FULL\nGod’s Word is necessary for the Christian life but it’s often hard to find time to read it.
