New Adult Discipleship Classes Begin
Biblical Theology [Story Track] | Todd Hutcherson | Room 101
If we read the Bible on its own terms, we will see that it is a unified story that centers on the person and work of Jesus Christ. This is the task of Biblical Theology. Join Todd to be introduced to this discipline and to be equipped to trace biblical themes that help us to understand the gospel more fully.
Discover Buck Run | Will Morris | Room 100
This class offers an introduction to Buck Run and our mission, vision, and expectations for members. Launch yourself into ministry and get plugged in. This is a fantastic way to really get connected to the life and ministry of Buck Run. It is also a step in the membership process for those wanting to join Buck Run.
The Word Made Flesh [Doctrine Track] | Ben Pinkston | Room 103
The question of who Jesus is must be central to our understanding of the gospel. Jesus asked that of his disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” (Mark 8:29) Join Ben for this survey of the doctrine of the Person of Christ. We’ll go to the Bible to hear the testimony concerning him as the Son of God and Son of Man who alone can save.
Philippians | Lindell Ormsbee | Room 102
Philippians: God’s prescription for joy. This course will explore the role of joy in the life of the Christian along with four common barriers to such joy: circumstances, people, suffering, and troubling thoughts. This will be accomplished using both inductive and deductive Bible study methods with specific applications to the book of Philippians.
By the Water: Nehemiah | Ed Hamlin & Caleb Lucas | Sanctuary
Gather “by the water” (the section of sanctuary seats nearest the baptistry) to participate in a thematic study of the book of Nehemiah. The Jews have returned from exile, but much of Jerusalem and its walls lie in ruins. Will God provide and restore them in their seemingly hopeless situation? Nehemiah’s message and example have much to say for the disciple of Jesus seeking to be faithful in serving and proclaiming the gospel in the midst of difficulty. Bring your Bible and come ready to hear and apply God’s Word for his people.
