Community Groups
Community groups are small groups of people, united in the Gospel, who gather together regularly to build intentional relationships, be transformed by the Gospel, and be sent to live life on mission. In short, we gather to be known, transformed, and sent. Belonging to a Community Group helps ensure that you have meaningful relationships with fellow believers in Christ who are there to spur you on, hold you accountable, and serve you in times of need. C-groups are a primary way that Buck Run members find deep and lasting community with others.
What Happens in a Community Group?
Community Groups gather on the 2nd and 4th Sundays (or a night on those weeks) for 1 1⁄2-2 hours at members’ homes or the church building. During this time they share a meal, have intentional conversations, discuss applicational questions from that week’s sermon, and pray with each other. These group gatherings are the springboard for further ministry and discipleship as group members invest in each other’s daily lives.
Our groups care for each other in every season of life, including intentionally investing in kids during the discussion portion of the gathering. All childcare is conducted according to our Child and Volunteer Protection Policy.
How do I Connect to a Community Group?
We believe that the gospel unites us. We belong to each other because we belong to Jesus. Our Community Groups commit to each other, not because of shared interests or experiences but because we need each other to follow Jesus faithfully. Consider how you can intentionally join a group for the sake of discipleship and mission. A member of our team would love to help you get connected!

Community Group Protection Policy
Our responsibility to care for and protect children extends beyond the walls of our building. Though most of our Community Groups meet in the homes of our members, our groups that offer childcare implement the practices and procedures of the Community Group version of our Child & Volunteer Protection Policy.
