Buck Run Baptist Church
Buck Run Baptist Church was planted in Frankfort, Kentucky in 1818 on a little creek called Buck Run — and the gospel that brought this church to life is what continues to drive everything we do. Over two centuries of faithful ministry have shaped who we are, but our mission has never changed. We exist to love God and love people, all for His glory.
Our Priority Is to Love the Lord
With Everything We Have
God is worthy of our deepest affections. We are not here only out of duty, but out of delight. It is that love for God that compels us to love people, not because they are always easy to love, but because we have been fundamentally changed by the love of God.

200 Years of Faithfulness
Since 1818, God has faithfully preserved Buck Run through more than two centuries of change. Our building looks different, our city looks different, and the world looks different — but the Lord has been constant through all of it, and His mission for this church has never wavered.
Our 2026 Ministry Plan
Each year, Buck Run publishes a Ministry Plan that gives our congregation a clear picture of where we are headed and how we plan to get there. This is one of the ways we pursue transparency and keep our members informed and engaged in the life of the church.
