Serving the Church.
God has created every person (even you!) with many gifts and talents. Buck Run members are encouraged to utilize their gifts to serve the body.
When you serve you are meeting needs and helping others.
Serving is a great way to build meaningful relationships with others. Buck Run has many wonderful volunteers and yet there are many holes in our current rotations as well as needs to get future ministry initiatives off the ground.
How to Serve
Each ministry has different onboarding processes for its volunteer teams. You can jump quickly into serving in some places, while others require more training. All volunteers working around minors are required to have a background check and follow the church’s Child & Volunteer Protection Policy. "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

Opportunities to serve
Kids Ministry
Come alongside our Kids Ministry team and invest in the next generation. Volunteers serve on a classroom rotation, helping point kids to Jesus on a regular basis.
Student ministry
Walk with 6th-12th graders through some of the most formative years of their lives. Student Ministry volunteers lead small groups and build gospel-centered relationships with students.
welcome team
Our Welcome Team creates a warm, hospitable environment that helps every guest and member feel at home.
Praise band
Use your musical gifts to lead our congregation in worship. Vocalists and instrumentalists of all types are welcome to serve on our Praise Band rotation.
Media & tech
Every Sunday runs smoothly because of faithful volunteers behind the scenes. Our Media & Tech team plays a vital role in making our services run well each week.
Weekday office volunteer
Serve the day-to-day ministry of Buck Run by volunteering in our church office — greeting visitors, answering phones, and caring for community members who come to us with needs.
Weekday building cleanup
Help us steward our building well by serving alongside our Facilities staff with general cleaning and upkeep throughout the week.
Jail Ministry
Join the teaching rotation for our weekly men's Bible study at the local jail, or serve by writing cards of encouragement to the men who attend.
